I am an ISA Certified Arborist with experience in the management of public landscapes. I provide independent arboriculture services in Salem, the Willamette Valley, and throughout the Pacific Northwest. My work ranges from evaluating individual trees to helping clients understand and manage larger tree populations and collections.

My experience in public landscape management, planning, and landscape design allows me to consider trees in this broader context while evaluating their health, condition, and management needs.

For properties with many trees, inventories and mapping can provide the foundation for long-term management by documenting what is present, identifying priorities, and helping clients plan future care, replacement, and planting. Where trees are part of a broader landscape problem, I also provide landscape renewal and care planning.

 

Independent Professional Advice

 

My role is to evaluate trees and provide professional judgment and recommendations rather than perform pruning, removal, spraying, or other tree-care operations. I am compensated for my assessment and advice, not for the scope or cost of the work that may ultimately be performed.

This allows me to focus on what I believe is appropriate for the tree, the landscape, and the client. My objective is to help clients understand the condition and value of their trees, identify genuine priorities, and make informed decisions about what needs attention now, what can wait, and what may not require intervention at all.

 

When tree care is appropriate, my recommendations can provide a clear basis for working with qualified tree-care professionals or property staff who will carry out the work.
